What is the Childrens Rights Project?
The Children's Rights Project provides assistance to the local community with issues such as Children's Hearings, School exclusions, etc.
History: We are an independent project who are committed to listening to young people and supporting them to resolve any issues or difficulties they are experiencing. We do this by a mixture of Citizens Advocacy and Crisis Advocacy. Some examples of these issues are school exclusion, Children's Hearings, family difficulties or young people with additional support needs for learning.
Confidentiality:
- Children and young people's right to confidentiality will be respected at all times except in circumstances where, we believe, they or others may be at risk or are vulnerable.
- We will ask all young people to sign a form of authority which allows us to share relevant information with other agencies or individuals.
