Priority Debts
There are debts where the consequences of non-payment are the most serious e.g.
- Rent or mortgage arrears which could lead to the loss of the client's home.
- Fuel debts which could result in the loss of supply.
- Fines, the non-payment of which could result in imprisonment.
Where a client presents with such a debt, attempts will be made, as a matter of urgency, to establish repayments at an affordable rate, that are acceptable to the creditor and that will put a hold on any further action.
