How do we help?
First Appointment
- This will be with a solicitor and usually lasts up to a maximum of 30 minutes. During this time, the solicitor will talk to you about your case and advise whether they are able to assist. They will tell you what can be done and agree a programme of action. After the first meeting, the solicitor will send you a letter which
- outlines what action has been agreed with you
- information about legal aid (where applicable)
- our terms of business
Case Work
- Where ongoing work is to be carried out, the case file will be held by the solicitor who will keep you up to date on all progress. All files are kept in accordance with the Law Society of Scotland's Regulations.
Representation
- Our solicitors appear on behalf of clients at court, hearings and tribunals. The Centre does not charge for this service.
Home Visits
- These can be arranged for clients with mobility or social needs. All are granted at the Centre's discretion.
Referrals
- Clients may also be referred by other agencies for a number of reasons. DLMAC is also part of the Glasgow Advice & Information Network (GAIN).
