Crisis

There are times when vulnerable people need immediate assistance with particular issues due to a lack of knowledge, a feeling of intimidation or a general feeling of hopelessness e.g. a disagreement with a service provider, housing complaints, review meetings with various agencies etc.  An issue may arise without warning and needs to be resolved quickly or within a specific time period.  This can be a stressful time for anyone, especially if you are unsure in which direction to turn.

The Drumchapel Advocacy Project has specially trained Crisis Advocates who are experienced in dealing with these situations.  Crisis Advocates work on the same principles and guidelines of Citizen Advocates, and aim to assist individuals to resolve their issues in a short time.  Crisis Advocacy is suited to individuals who require immediate advocacy assistance and not long term support.
